I see that look on your face.
Why doesn’t it agree,
With the words you speak?
You hating me,
Am I the cause of it?
Just because your brain,
Can’t handle
That type of rejection.
And you had told me,
You loved me,
Bearing gifts!

Commentary: You can’t go into a relationship, believing that just because you have invested time and money, you own somebody. Only a flawed individual will try to impose his will, on another human being. Sadly, codependent relationships usually start off as innocent gifts, but always end up being abusive. You can’t claim somebody’s love, unless she volunteers her heart to you in the first place, otherwise it’s just a financial transaction.
