You would hope that history teaches,
But I’m afraid it merely preaches:
That upon the simple ears it reaches,
Would recall—to not repeat—
The injustices—it admonishes.

Commentary: Public schools shouldn’t be required to teach woke education. Adolescents need to concentrate on building self-esteem and friendships, they can’t be bogged down with our emotionally charged history. It’s cowardice to ask high-school students to fix the nation’s biases, when not even their parents can get over their prejudices. Teenagers need to concentrate on learning the basics: reading, writing, math, science, life-skills and sportsmanship.
When parents and teachers emphasize our country’s positive and encouraging history, their children’s impressionable minds are inclined to pursue the American Dream. However, if educators spend too much time driving home the fact, that America was created via conquest and the exploitation of natives, slaves and minorities, it can cause students to begin to form a divisive opinion that oppression is a necessary evil and that depending on their ethnicity, they’re either privileged or their victims. This can lead young adults to distrust government or to becoming prone to radicalization.
Since history and social studies are such vast topics—it is best—to only teach students who have attained an adult emotional level. After all, public education is simply the building blocks of academics. If a high school graduate wants to pursue higher education, their aptitude should now be ready to tackle college-level sociology courses.
“We believe that K-12 education should be free from indoctrination and politicization,” the group’s website states. “Radical teachings motivated by a political agenda and deliberately spread by teachers, administrators, school board members, and even state officials have infiltrated schools across the nation.”

The Lord God says: “In the day that I cleanse you from all your offenses, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places to be rebuilt. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Bible, Ezekiel 36:26,33
