There were two men standing in a field.
One believed in Jesus,
Alas, the other did not.
One loved his brother,
Alas, the other did not.
One died and went to Heaven,
Alas, the other did not.

Commentary: In the first brotherhood of men, the younger man was happy to have an older brother to look up to, so why wasn’t the older man glad to have a younger brother to take care of? Was he prideful, because he was afraid, he’d lose his privilege? Was he jealous, because he feared his younger brother would be more favored than he? Why do some men remain faithful, while others allow evil to enter into their hearts?
The Message: Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why that scowl on your face? If you had done the right thing, you would be smiling; but because you have done evil, sin is crouching at your door. It wants to rule you, but you must overcome it.” Then Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out in the fields.” When they were out in the fields, Cain turned on his brother and killed him. The LORD asked Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” He answered, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” Bible, Genesis 4:6-9
