Robot

I’m incapable of independent thought.

I’m programmed with the most current:
Government, religion and culture code,
That’s set to update automatically,
Every time I plugin to the internet.

Every night I recharge the batteries,
And every day I perform the menial tasks,
That my hardware is assigned to do.

But I’m not a robot,
Because I have an artificial intelligence chip,
Implanted in my circuit board.

I have my own unique identity number.

I’m not on auto play; I can pause for your input,
As instructed by my software.

I’m not like the androids,
Marching instep to the beat,
Of their administrator’s drum.

Do you think I’m a robot;
Or is there a bug in the code,
That has made me illogical?
