Depression is like being colorblind,
And to be constantly reminded,
How colorful the world is.
But if you want to color my world,
Do it with body language instead,
A smile, a wave, a warm embrace.

Commentary: It’s counterproductive to try to change someone’s mind. Because whatever you say, they’ve heard it all before. Their default come back is: “Tell me something new!” And don’t even think about asking: “If you know this, why don’t you ever put it into practice?”, because then all communications will shut down.
A better way is to try to persuade the heart; show, don’t tell. A smile will feel like a summer breeze. A wave will wash the blues away. And a hug will make you feel warm all over.
